Our Team


Diana Klenske Kincaid brings more than two decades of knowledge and experience in the field of political fundraising, having worked for many prominent elected officials including Congressman Tom Price, U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss, and Governor Nathan Deal, to name just a few. She joined Capitol Strategy Group as a founding partner in 2004. Kincaid oversees the fundraising department of the firm, works with Congressman Tom Price, Congressman Austin Scott, and frequently serves as a consultant on fundraising projects for elected officials, candidates, PACs and organizations seeking to raise funds in Georgia and other states in the southeast.

Travis Lindley is a founding partner of Capitol Strategy Group with a history of success that has earned him recognition as a respected healthcare lobbyist and operative in Georgia. Lindley offers insider expertise by way of an extensive background in the areas of government affairs, lobbying, PAC fundraising and management, and grassroots/grass-tops advocacy projects.

Laura Willis Dunaway brings years of political fundraising experience to Capitol Strategy Group and to the clients of the firm. Dunaway joined Capitol Strategy Group as a partner in early 2005. She specializes in and manages many of the firm's fundraising, marketing, and event planning projects. Dunaway focuses on the fundraising efforts for Congressman Rick Allen in Georgia’s 12th Congressional District, Congressman Drew Ferguson in Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District and serves as a consultant for a number of fundraising projects.

Ariail Smith Gorman joined Capitol Strategy Group in 2009 and has helped to coordinate several major fundraising events since joining the team. She brings fundraising, event planning, and communication skills to the firm. Gorman has raised money for many members of the State Legislator including  Representative Sharon Cooper (Chairman of the House Health and Human Services Committee), Representative Ben Harbin,  Representative Matt Hatchett  (House Caucus Chairman),  Representative John Meadows (Chairman of the House Rules Committee),  Senator Renee Unterman (Chairman of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee), Senator Ben Watson, M.D., Representative Sam Watson, and Senator John Wilkinson (Chairman of the Senate Ag Committee). She also has coordinated political fund raising for local officials such as Forsyth County Sheriff Duane Piper and Superior Court Judge of the Coweta Judicial Circuit, the Honorable Bill Hamrick. Gorman served as the Financial Director for Rep. Donna Sheldon and Mike Collins, who were both candidates for the 10th Congressional District race in 2014.  She is currently helping with three special election house races for Shaw Blackmon, Scott Downing and Betty Price, M.D.

Elizabeth Bissell Barton joined Capitol Response in 2009, bringing over ten years of political fundraising compliance experience to the firm. Barton serves as the firm’s Director of Compliance Services. Her primary focus is directing and executing compliance and reporting services for the firm’s federal, political action committee and state legislative clients.

Brie Bell Goodwin joined Capitol Strategy Group in January 2011 and is currently the Finance Director for U.S. Congressman Austin Scott representing the 8th Congressional District of Georgia.  Congressman Scott served his first term in Congress as President of the Republican Freshman Class for the 112th Congress.  He has since been selected to serve as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy, and Credit of the House Committee on Agriculture along with serving on the House Armed Services Committee. Goodwin is also heading the fundraising efforts for Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle as the Finance Director for his 2018 campaign for Secretary of State for the State of Georgia.

Janet Stacy Newman was a Christian educator for a private school for nine years in middle Georgia prior to relocating to Atlanta and joining Capitol Strategy Group in 2007. As a graduate of Worth County High School in South Georgia, her passion for politics is rooted in her family's involvement and support of Georgia politics. Newman's understanding and appreciation for the political process grew through her college and adult years with involvement in local and state politics.

Jennifer Bannister brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the fields of government and corporate relations, corporate event planning, political and non-profit fundraising, and PAC management.  She successfully integrates for our clients her over twenty years of expertise in business development, government and corporate relations, and event planning including policy forums, dinners and banquets, convention events, and media events across the United States and internationally. Her fundraising expertise includes all aspects of fundraising events for candidate campaigns and non-profit groups encompassing budgeting, major donor recruitment, online solicitation efforts, direct mail strategies and PAC events. She has a broad range of experience in working with corporate executives and organizing various staff serving as an effective member of a cross functional team to meet event goals under tight time deadlines and budget constraints.

Devin Krecl joined Capitol Strategy Group in 2015. Krecl's area of expertise include public affairs, grassroots and grass-tops, marketing and event planning, oversight of human resources, and firm operations. He specializes in advancing development initiatives with his team and implementing comprehensive strategies to promote the priorities of the clients. His leadership has allowed him to adapt to and task and effectivley lead his team when working on a project. In 2016, Krecl began working with the firm's leadership and a government affairs consulatant and lobbyist for the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology, Georgia Society for Respiratory Care, Georgia Library Media Association, and Georgia Organization of School Based Speech Language Pathologists. Prior to joining Capitol Strategy Group, Krecl worked for Congressman Tom Price, MD, now US Health and Human Services Secretary. Krecl is a graduate of Kennesaw State University, where he recieved a B.S. in Political Science with a specialization in Government and Professional Politics.

Cathalene Teahan, MSN CNS RN, joined the firm as a senior public affairs consultant in 2011. Teahan is a noted expert on state budgeting, a veteran health care lobbyist, and patient advocate. Teahan has served on numerous state boards, commissions, task forces, and patient advocacy working groups. Teahan works with the firm's government affairs consultants on health policy, state and federal funding and has served as a point person on several statewide grassroots projects. Teahan is the founder and executive director for the Georgia AIDS Coalition. Teahan graduated from the University of Hawaii with a master's degree as a clinical nurse specialist in psychiatric nursing.

Caitlyn Cooper is an experienced business professional who excels at leading organizations and campaigns in financial development and government relations. She is responsible for cultivating large increases in charitable event revenue at large non-profits, and has independently designed and directed some of Georgia’s most recognized charity fundraising events.

Jim McNatt, MD, an ophthalmologist, joined the firm’s team as a medical consultant in 2010, and is also currently in private practice in Atlanta. Dr. McNatt works as a strategic and medical advisor for the firm’s healthcare clients.

Capitol Strategy Group maintains a working strategic alliance with Atlanta-based Association Strategy Group and Austin-based Arnold Public Affairs in Texas.
