Jennifer Bannister

Jennifer Bannister brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the fields of government and corporate relations, corporate event planning, political and non-profit fundraising, and PAC management.  She successfully integrates for our clients her over twenty years of expertise in business development, government and corporate relations, and event planning including policy forums, dinners and banquets, convention events, and media events across the United States and internationally. Her fundraising expertise includes all aspects of fundraising events for candidate campaigns and non-profit groups encompassing budgeting, major donor recruitment, online solicitation efforts, direct mail strategies and PAC events. She has a broad range of experience in working with corporate executives and organizing various staff serving as an effective member of a cross functional team to meet event goals under tight time deadlines and budget constraints.

Bannister's clients have included Tennessee campaigns for U.S. Congressman Scott DesJarlais, MD, U.S. Congressman Phil Roe, MD, Ed Bryant for U.S. Senate, and Jim Bryson for Governor in Tennessee, Mac Collins for U.S. Senate in Georgia, Texas Supreme Court, Texas Railroad Commission, Republican Party of Texas, the Texas Public Policy Foundation, American International Group, and several Texas House campaigns.

The 2008-2010 election cycle clients include Phil Roe, M.D. who was elected to Congress representing the 1st District of Tennessee, and Scott DesJarlais, MD for Congress elected in the 4th District of Tennessee, where Bannister served as Finance Director to the campaigns. In Texas, fundraising clients include U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (TX-10), Justice Jim Moseley for Texas Supreme Court, several State Representative campaigns, as well as fundraising and corporate event planning for Texas Public Policy Foundation.

Among her many high profile endeavors, Bannister worked for U.S. Senator Phil Gramm in several capacities. As West Texas Regional Director, she oversaw 70 counties for Gramm for many years. She joined the Phil Gramm for President 1996 campaign as a Regional Finance Director in Texas. She then went on to become a member of the Senior Lead Advance Staff, conducting earned media efforts in Iowa, Texas, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Alaska, Washington and Louisiana. She also served as travel aide to federal and statewide elected officials in various states as they campaigned for Gramm.

During Bannister's time with Gramm, in coordination with the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), she worked on national campaigns such as U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in Texas, U.S. Senator Paul Coverdell in Georgia who won over longtime incumbent Wyche Fowler, and the Bush/Quayle 1992 presidential re-election campaign. In addition to her political campaign work for the NRSC, she coordinated policy forums in top media markets across the country.

Bannister then served as State Finance Director for Texas Governor Rick Perry's successful 1998 campaign for Lieutenant Governor. Raising $12.5 million in 18 months, Bannister and the campaign broke all fundraising records at the time for a Lieutenant Governor's race in Texas. This catapulted Perry into a key position in state politics where he has since gone on to become Governor of Texas.

Bannister was raised in Ft. Worth, Texas and continues to work with her family's fourth generation ranching operation in Texas. She currently resides in Austin and enjoys spending time in the country, playing golf, and traveling.
